In September, Nancy Goodell, CPSW III, became the Foster Care Worker for the Keene District Office. It has been her life long dream to work with at risk kids and family.  She earned her BS in Human Services at Springfield College and from 1984- 1990 worked at Headstart as a family worker.  In 1990 she accepted a job in the early intervention program of the Keene School District.  She visited homes and assessed kids and families, helping families to work with their children to enhance their learning skills. A few years later she began work at Monadnock Development Services as Assistant Coordinator for the Parent Aide Program working closely with NH DCYF.  She began her career in the Keene District Office 1994 as a Family Service Worker and then moved into the role of an Assessment Worker.  Nancy finds her experience in these positions very helpful in her new role.

“I have always been impressed by the caring people who wanted to become foster parents.  I have particularly appreciated the willingness of foster parents to take children while I was an assessment worker.” said Nancy.  Her career goal is to be as supportive as possible to    foster families.  She plans to share the knowledge she has acquired regarding kids and families with foster families she now works closely with.

Nancy has two grown children, a son and daughter.  Her grandsons, ages 7 and 11, are the apples of her eye.  She enjoys reading, walking and visiting with friends and families.  She loves her two cats, Lily and Griffin, despite their challenging behaviors!  Nancy recharges herself by taking trips to the Maine coast. Welcome Nancy!
